Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.

"DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old.
"Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.
"Papa says, 'If you see it in THE SUN it's so.'
"Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?

"VIRGINIA O'HANLON.
"115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET."

VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I watched the last episode of Harry Potter series two days ago at the Marunouchi Piccadilly, Yurakucho You know what, three of the cast which are Bonnie Wright, Evanna Lynch and Rupert Grint gave speeches after watching the film IN FRONT OF US They looked a bit nervous but they are still gorgeous. Rupert always says "yeah" with high voice before he speaks. LOL
I just cannot believe it passed already 10 years since I read "Philosopher's Stone." I still remember I couldn't take my eyes from the pages and I stayed up all night for reading. It was a one of the triggers to get interested in English. I was 14 at that time. Who could have imagined the casts get old so quickly? Really time flies. The 14 year old girl is now 24 year old woman and she works at an airport using English everyday. This is my life.

Get Ready For Winter

I often see docomo's recent commercial which uses KIMURA Kaela's new single, "A Winter Fairy Is Melting A Snowman." Another new winter song is born. She makes good lovely music every time, making people feel happy. I'm absolutely hooked on this melody

Now shops are getting in Christmas mood and playing standard numbers which makes me feel so bouncy. My favorite shop, KALDI sells a lot of Christmas candies or chocolates. I got a box of ginger cookies of Nyakers yesterday. When I back to my home, I eat them with a cup of coffeeThis is the happiest moment in a day I like this season, all the better if it's not getting extreme cold outside

A New Hobby

Can't believe. It's already November It seems like we forget about autumn
Quite cold at night, you know

I'm trying to find a new hobby these days Since I started my new life, I was busy dealing with the things at hand In fact, I had days spending all day doing washing or cleaning sometimes. I was just tired of taking actions. I know I'm very lazy somehow...hehehe But mind you, I do when I do. REALLY
Anyway, now I'm thinking about what I can do. Because my work is irregular unlike the many, it's impossible to attend weekly activities. Plus, I'm looking for something inexpensive one Well then, there are not so many things to chose. Doing yoga, knitting a blanket or maybe taking photos Growing herbs or baking cakes are also good for me

Don't catch a cold everybody

I'm Back

It's been a long time since I last posted here
About two months passed but my computer is not connected to the Internet yet It's a bother to fill up the form...I think I'm busy for doing housework. Besides, I can live without computers personally. I'll do just fine with my cell phone

Yesterday I went to Tokyo Dome City first thing in the morning. It was weekday so my friend and I rode attractions as much as we satisfy. The park was almost empty and everything was a zero minutes wait. No stress
haha

After 4 or 5 hours, we felt our physical limits and moved to the spa to relieve the daily stress from work. The bedrock bath was so fantastic
The best ever in my entire life It was so relaxing and calm. I felt like I was somewhere in southern islands. It was very active and healthy day

Oh, I think I should sign up with the Internet. I have a lot of things to write like I used to. Alright, I'll do it when I get back to my home

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Today is my birthday!!
YAY^^
I just moved to a new town to live on my own since July. Now I'm not a student anymore and need to be independent as an adult. My work is going well. I think I can do almost anything by myself. But to be honest, I feel a bit lonely. Since I've started my new life, I know how much I owe to my parents, especially my mum. My new room is quiet and I just miss my old sweet home. But I'm sure I'll get used to it. This is my challenge. When I leave this house, I'll be strong and matured. Surely!!

A Falling Stone??

I saw what appears to be a falling stone late in the evening of Saturday the 12th of June I definitely saw something planing off in a looping arch I was on my way home and casually looked up the sky It was orange flash and vanished away in the dark sky. I have no idea what it was At least it's sure it was not HAYABUSA. I clearly felt my heartbeat quicken at that time

Happy News!

Hi, how's it going, everyone??

I recently see docomo CM so often. Marimekko mobile phone will go on sale in July from docomo This is one of the new products for the summer. Marimekko is a Finnish textile maker I'm sure everyone who is interested in Nordic interior accessory knows the company. In particular, one of the fabric, Unikko, is famous and popular in Japan. I love it, too. Unikko means poppy flowers in Finnish and the patterns are going to be mobile phones There are three colors which are red, black and blue. I wanna get the red one if it's affordable for me Mine is very old I guess it is the fourth or fifth year.

Unikko...so cute

By the way, I was so surprised at the marriage of Eita to KIMURA Kaela Besides, Kaelachan is expecting a baby who is five months now When I turned on the TV in the morning, the news grabbed headlines. I just couldn't understand and I even thought it's a dream. But...they are a good match and I love both They both have a lot of fans throughout Japan. I think many of their fans feel shocked and happy at the same time. Congratz
