Anyway, today was the final day. We had to have the final presentation and I chose the topic of the difference between British and Japanese comedy. I often see YouTube and watch some comedies but it's sometimes really hard to understand. There are some reasons but what counts most is the cultural difference. For laughing, we need a common knowledge, awareness and culture. For example, comedy can be devided into two main groups, joke style like manzai, gag, stand up comedy and story style like rakugo, conte or sitcom. In the former case, as I wrote before we need a common knowledge but the later one don't need it. Why? It's the fun of human beings themselves! Every country has someone who is a bit strange. Or we can make the situation which is kind of immpossible to happen. So the story comedy can make up the people who is likely to be around you or an unusual situation and it can make the common laughing.
Personaly, I think the best example of the common laughing is TV commercial. You'll find it easy to understand than stand up comedy. ;)
